Replacing the PCI Cooling Fan
1.
Make sure the power switches for the computer, video monitor and any
peripheral devices are turned OFF and unplug the power cord (see
“General
Safety Information” on page 126
).
2.
Disconnect the monitor and peripheral devices from the system.
3.
Remove the server cover. Refer to
“Removing the Server Cover” on page 154
.
4.
Disconnect the fan cable from the server board.
5.
Lift the fan from the system.

6.
Set the replacement fan into place. The label on the fan must face the rear of
the system.
7.
Connect the fan cable to the server board.
8.
Replace the server cover. Refer to
“Installing the Server Cover” on page 155
.
9.
Plug all peripheral devices and the AC power cable into the server.
