2.3 Heating-up procedure
Set the primary air supply (on the left side of the stove) to
the max. open position. The secondary air supply (on the
right side of the stove) remains closed. Open the firebox
door and place 2 -3 wooden boards or 2 brown coal
briquettes on the ash
grate
in the combustion chamber.
Stack ignitions and igniters. Now light the igniters and close
the door.
When the wood / brown coal briquette burns completely,
reduce the primary air by 50-75% (do not close it
fully
). At
the same time, the secondary air supply can now be
connected. Set this
regulator
to the max. open position.
After some time the secondary air, depending on the flame
pattern, can be somewhat reduced.
If the wood / brown coal briquette is nearly burnt, please
add more
wood or brown coal
. If you want to let the flames
go out, the primary air supply should be opened again to
allow for a complete combustion of the residual wood.
This
procedure results in an optimum efficiency of your
stove
.

Please note, that in the ignition phase soot may condense on
the viewing glass of the stove. When burning solid fuels, which
naturally create soot, soiling can not be fully avoided.
Therefore soiling of the window does not constitute a defect.
Important!
Do not use any combustible liquids like
alcohol or gasoline when igniting.
Important!
The use of larger quantities of combustible
wood does not increase the heating capacity to a major
degree.
Instead, the excess energy escapes to the
chimney. In addition, this results in high hazardous
emissions and in extreme cases can damage the Bullerjan
dot
and or individual parts.
Please always empty the ash box of your Bullerjan dot on
time and only when the stove is not in operation. Otherwise
there is a hindrance to the combustion air supply, which is
also responsible for the cooling of the ash
grate
during the
inflow.
If there is too much ash in the ash box and the inflow of
the combustion air is hindered, the ash
grate
device can
be damaged.
We would like to point out that your warranty claim to the
Bullerjan
dot
becomes invalidated if you put too much strain
on your stove by using non-permissible fuels or by loading
with fuel quantities which are excessively large.
