Assembly
5.4
Commissioning
Only trained specialist staff may perform initial
commissioning since initial commissioning of the
pedelec requires special tools and specialist
knowledge.
Experience has shown that a pedelec which has
not yet been sold is automatically handed to
customers as soon as it appears ready to ride.
For this reason, every pedelec must be
prepared, so it is fully ready for use
immediately after being assembled.
The assembly report (see Section
11.2
)
describes all safety-relevant inspections, tests
and maintenance tasks for the bicycle in a
separate list. All assembly work must be
completed to ensure the pedelec is ready to
ride.
Complete an assembly report for quality
assurance purposes.
