Current supply / battery change
A series of signals indicated that the battery is weak and must be
replaced. Use only 9V ALKALINE batteries. Burton Safes recommends
the Duracell brand. The batteries are located on the inside of the safe
door.
Emergency opening when batteries are flat
If the internal battery goes completely flat before you have chance to
change the batteries you can use an external power source to open the
safe
• Use a brand new 9V alkaline battery
• Press the 9V battery contacts firmly against the corresponding contacts
on the key pad ( [-] is the larger contact and [+] is the smaller contact)
• Continue to hold the battery in place and press the [ON] key, input
your 6-10 digit code
• Press the [ENTER] key and turn the knob to open the safe door
• Once inside replace the batteries
Emergency opening with a key
(only for versions provided with a key)
• Remove the adhesive label marked with the letter ‘E’
• Insert the key into the key hole, the key will only fit in 1 position.
Do not force the key
• Turn the key until the stop point
• Turn the knob clockwise until the bolts are retracted, open the safe
door
