Installing the Software and Downloading Golf Course Data
•hold the enTer key on the yardage Pro GPS to turn on the
power.
•The Sync Application will typically automatically find and
recognize the USB port where your yP GPS unit is connected. If
it does not, or you have problems transferring course data, you
may need to go to the “Settings” screen and select the correct
“Com” port number (
Fig C
). See “Troubleshooting” in the back of
this manual for more details and help if necessary.
3. Download Golf Course GPS Data to Your Computer
•from the main menu screen, click “Download Courses”. next,
you will need to register (enter your unit serial # as shown on
the Settings page under “Unit Info”) and create a new user ID
so you can login to access the iGolf database. you will be given
credit for one free trial (time limited*) course download, but will
not be able to download additional courses or retain the data
permanently* without a paid membership.
•After you’ve set up a user ID and logged in, get the GPS data
for the course you want by using the Search feature to find it,
typing its name in “enter golf course”. Selecting a state from the
pull down menu first may help narrow down the search results
if it has a common name. or click and use “Advanced Search”
instead to get a list of all courses in a given city or zip code, with
only 9 or 18 holes, public or private, fee range, etc.
*Free trial course data expires after 45 days, and will not be usable after
that time. It is provided at no charge to allow you time to try out your YP
GPS on a favorite course. A paid membership is required for full functionality
and access to the entire iGolf course database without limitation.
