2.3 Interconnecting Units (Systems)
The BK760 / BK76IB was designed to be modular. As a result, it is possible to interconnect
it with other Buskro products such as feeders, transport bases, controllers, extension tables,
and conveyors.
With the exception of friction feeders, controllers, and conveyors, most Buskro units are
interconnected through the use of a Universal Interconnect Cable (9102083A). In general,
this cable is connected to the downstream connector of one unit and the upstream connector
of another unit. By definition, upstream units are machines that are physically ahead of the
unit in question in terms of product flow. Downstream units are machines that are physically
after the unit (i.e. the product travels on the upstream unit, then the unit in question, then the
downstream unit). In the case of the BK760 / BK76IB, it is equipped with both an upstream
and downstream connector. As a result, it is considered an inline unit (it can be placed either
upstream or downstream of another unit or both).
In order to interconnect the BK760 / BK76IB to friction feeders, controllers, or conveyors,
separate connectors are provided. This includes a 14-Pin auxiliary feeder connector, a 26-
Pin I/O Controller ribbon cable connector (For BK76IB only), and a 7-Pin Conveyor
for the locations of the interconnection connectors.
Note:
In order to interconnect other units, the DIP switch settings on the Base Control
Board may need to be changed. Reference
