Driver Shift Control
(automatic transmission only)

The Driver Shift Control (DSC) mode
allows you to change gears similar
to a manual transmission. To use
the DSC mode:

1.

Slide the gearshift lever from
Drive (D) to the right to Manual
Mode (M).

2.

Press the gearshift lever forward
to upshift or rearward to
downshift. Activation of the
DSC mode is indicated in the
DIC. The display above the (M) in
the cluster will change to a
number indicating the requested
gear range.
When in DSC mode, if you do not
move the gearshift lever forward
or rearward to shift, the
transmission will be in sport
mode and will still
shift automatically.
The transmission
will only allow
shifting into gears
appropriate for the

vehicle speed and engine rpm.
The transmission will not
automatically shift to the next
higher gear if the rpm is too high.

TRACTION & STABILITY

Traction Control System

The traction control system is
enabled every time you start your
vehicle. When one or more of the
drive wheels begin to spin from
traction loss, the Traction Control
System will apply braking to the
spinning wheel(s) and may reduce
engine power until traction
is regained.
If your vehicle becomes stuck, and
rocking the vehicle is required, the
system should be turned off.
Press the button located on the
instrument panel to turn the
system off or back on.

StabiliTrak® –
Stability Control System

StabiliTrak® is an advanced
computer-controlled system that
assists with directional control of

the vehicle during sudden
maneuvers or low-traction
situations. It is normal to hear the
system working, and the system will
automatically disengage cruise
control when activated.

Magnetic Ride Control™

(CTS-V only)

The ride of your vehicle is
automatically adjusted through a
computer that monitors the
suspension system. Sensors send
input to the computer which then
determines the proper system
response. Please see your Owner
Manual for a complete description
of V-Series MR suspension modes.

Competitive Driving Mode

By pressing the TC button, you can
access various V-Series competitive
driving modes that will greatly
enhance the performance capability
