Patient Hookup
In order to obtain a high-quality ECG signal it is necessary to maintain good electrical contact
between the electrodes, patient cables and the patient’s skin. Suggested electrode placements
are shown in the diagrams below in Figures 2.5 and 2.6. However, it is up to the physician to
make the final placement determination. The recorder’s ECG display screen can be used to
verify a proper patient hookup.
