Getting Started
The LED display will be in red (for standby mode) when the ‘Power’ button is pushed. Pushing the LED will cause the LED to
be green indicating the unit is fully powered up.
• Depressing the ‘Tape’ button will cause the LCD display to show ‘Tape’.
• Depressing the ‘AM/FM’ button will cause the LCD display to show ‘AM’ or ‘FM’.
• Depressing the ‘CD’ button will cause the LCD display to show ‘Disc’.
Digital Volume Control
• The volume control is preset to automatically turn on at volume level “26” upon
power up. Press ‘VOL
q
’ to reduce the volume, the level will be shown in the LCD
panel. Minimum volume will show ‘00’ on the LCD display.
• Press ‘VOL
p
’ to increase the volume. The maximum volume is ‘40’ on the LCD display.
Treble and Bass Controls
TREBLE combined with /- can be used to adjust the Treble up and down,
while BASS combined with /- can be used to adjust the Bass up and down
respectively. Both Treble and Bass can be adjusted in the range of +5 to –5.
PLL Radio Function
• Press ‘AM/FM’ to select the desired reception band. Extend the telescoping
antenna for FM. There is a built-in antenna for AM reception. For FM stereo
reception the ‘stereo’ will show on the LCD display.
• Press the ‘TUNER

’ or ‘TUNER
q
’ button repeatedly until the desired station
shows on the LCD display.
• To automatically scan through the frequency bands, hold the ‘TUNER’ button
down until you see the speed of the LCD display increase. Scanning will stop
when a strong signal is detected.
Programming Stations
20 FM stations and 10 AM stations can be saved in memory with the ‘PRESET’ function.
• Select a station to be saved in memory and press the ‘PROGRAM’ button to see ‘_ _’ appear on the LCD display.
• Press ‘PRESET’ key to choose the desired channel (e.g. channel 1) then press ‘PROGRAM’ again to save.
• Select another station and press ‘PROGRAM’ again, then press ‘PRESET’ to select channel 2. Press ‘PROGRAM’ again to save.
Press the ‘PRESET’ button to access preset stations until the desired channel is found.
CD Function
The 2455AV-03 CD player accepts both 12 cm and 8 cm discs and will read CD, CD-R , CD-RW and MP3 formats.
MP3 CDs
With MP3 Cds, the 2455AV-03 supports a maximum of 99 folders, 999 files and a file name with a maximum of 64 characters. It has
a MP3 bit range of 32k to 320k, and is compatible with MPEG Audio 1, 2, and 2.5. The MP3 sampling rate is:

MPEG1 - Layer 2/3 (32kHz, 44.1 kHz, 48 kHz)
•
MPEG2 - Layer 2/3 (16kHz, 22.05 kHz, 24 kHz)
•
MPEG3 - Layer 2/3 (8 kHz, 11.025 kHz, 12 kHz)
Before opening the CD door, the LCD will show dashed lines. Open the CD door and the LCD display will show ‘Open’. Insert a CD
and push door closed and the LCD will display the number of tracks and total play time of the disc.
• Press the ‘PLAY/PAUSE’ button to play the CD and the LCD display will show track 1 and the elapsed playing time.
Note: When playing a CD, the LCD display will show : Track 11 74:59
When playing a MP3 disc, the LCD display will show: Track A99 T256
