IDROMAT
SAFETY
Read these instructions carefully before instal-
ling or using the device.
The assembler and final user must carefully comply
with all applicable standards and laws, including local
regulations. The manufacturer declines any liability in
the event of damage due to improper use or use
under conditions other than those indicated on the
serial plate and in these instructions. The device has
been built in conformity with the current European
Community laws.
OPERATION
The electronic controller IDROMAT controls the auto-
matic start and stop of the water pump when opening
or closing any tap or valve of the installation. When
the water pump starts, it keeps running while there is
any tap opened in the system, giving the required
flow at constant pressure to the network.
CAUTION
: This electronic controller can be used
either for drinking water or not drinking water circuits.
In installations where both types of water are present,
make sure that drinking water is not mixed with not
drinking water.

HYDRAULIC CONNECTION (fig.1)
Before proceeding with hydraulic connection
make sure to prime the pump correctly.
The IDROMAT should always be installed in
horizontal position with the overmolded arrow poin-
ting to the top, connecting the inlet (male) directly to
the pump and the outlet (male) to the network.
CAUTION
: Do not install non-return valves on the
outlet of IDROMAT.
Do not install any tap between the pump and the
device, it is advisable to install a ball valve on the
outlet of the device in order to isolate the pump-
IDROMAT group from the network.
It is advisable to connect the device outlet to the
system by using a hose.
If the inlet pressure to IDROMAT exceeds 10 bars,
install a pressure reducer between the pump and
IDROMAT.
CAUTION
: Maximum pressure generated by the
pump must normally be 1 bar over the pre-set device
restart pressure.
In particular, the actual pressure of the pump and the
column of water must be verified in relation to the
restart pressure following the indications herebelow.

SUBMERSIBLE PUMP INSTALLATION
Install an auxiliary membrane tank of minimum 20
liters volume in order not to exceed the maximum
starts per hour of the motor. The auxiliary tank is to
be preinflated at a pressure of approximately 2m.c.a
lower then the restart pressure of the Idromat.
CAUTION
: The pump does not have to operate at a
flow lower than the minimum flow indicated on the
pump plate.
Do not install the Idromat in systems with pumps
achieving more than 10 bar pressure at 0 flow.
