Audio inputs and outputs may be con-
nected directly to the console using
36 way MDR (SCSI-style) connectors.
Optionally, break out connector pan-
els and cabling can be provided.
Ideally, BNC interface panels should be
fitted within 3 m (9.8 ft) of the backplane
they connect to. XLR interface panels
should be fitted within 2 m (6.5 ft) of the
backplane they connect to.
For digital inputs and outputs, interface
panels can be either XLR (16 male or
female on a 1U panel) or BNC (32 on a
1U panel).
