4.2 Starting the motorcompressor
WARNING!
When using the compressor for the first time, please follow the instructions for a proper running-in:
1
Open the drain tap (18) in the bottom of the tank;
2
Start the compressor and make it idle for about 30 minutes;
3
Close the drain tap (18) of the tank.
WARNING!
While the motorcompressor is working, the machine should not be towed or placed on gradients steeper than 20%.
Steeper gradients may cause the engine and the motorcompressor to break.
-
Make sure all the safety covers on the moving parts are firmly secured in place;
-
The machine has no brakes. It must be placed in a safe and stable position.
Carry out these operations in the following order:
-
Fill the fuel tank (6) taking care to clean up any spilled fuel so as to prevent from spontaneous combustion (for the kind of
fuel, see the engine manual);
-
Discharge the air tank and leave the drain tap (18) open;
-
When the engine is cold, pull the starter lever (7) in the direction indicated by the arrow;
-
Pull the recoil rope (9) to start the engine;
-
Soon after having started the engine, put the starter lever (7) back in its original position;
-
Close the drain tap (18) in the bottom of the air tank.
When the compressor reaches the pre-set pressure and the unloader valve (17) starts letting compressed air out, check that the
oil used to lubricate the equipment flows regularly. Check the oil dripping regulator (16).
