4 - USING THE MOTORCOMPRESSOR
4.4 Adjustment
NOTE: The working air pressure setting in the air tank is controlled by the unloader valve (17).
Air lubricator flow adjustment
A drop of oil every 20-30 seconds should fall from the nozzle inside the transparent oil drops regulator (16). While making a tool
idle, turn the screw located on the regulator (16) by using a screw-driver to adjust the oil dripping rate. Turn it anti-clockwise to
increase; clockwise to decrease.
4.5 Trouble-shooting (faults, causes & remedies)
WARNING!
All special maintenance operations must be performed by a qualified service mechanic.
PROBLEM
The air tank pressure drops when ma-
chine and tool are stopped
The compressor overheats.
The pressure rises to over 11,5 bar and
the safety valve releases air.
The pilot valve makes a crackling noise.
The compressor does not fill the tank up
and the tank pressure is low
The tools have lost power and have be-
come slower
Excessive condensation comes out of
the tools
The engine does not start
SOLUTION
Check all fittings by using soapy water. The
air leaks will be indicated by air bubbles
(chapter 5.2.4).
Check the grids or blow air between the
head fins.
Take the machine to an authorised service
point to be repaired

Check the oil and dosing levels of the air
lubricating unit (chapter 5.1.4)
Drain the condensation from the air tank
through the tap (18) (cap. 5.1.2).
a)
Let the air out by opening the drain
tap (18)
b)
Top up the oil to the required level
(chapter 5.1.1)
c)
Take the machine to an authorised
service point to be repaired
d)
Use fresh petrol.
CAUSE
Air leaks from the fittings
Insufficient ventilation because the mo-
tor is obstructed or the head block cool-
ing fins are dirty.
The unloader valve (17) is faulty or badly
adjusted.
The unloader valve (17) is faulty or badly
adjusted.
Air leaks from the head block seals or
the valves are broken
The tools need to be lubricated
The air tank is full of condensation
a)
The air tank has not reached the
pre-set working pressure yet
b)
The engine oil level is too low
c)
The carburettor is dirty
d)
The petrol is old
