5 - USE OF THE CHAINSAW
5.4 Chain locking pin
The chain locking pin (34) protects the operator in case of chain breakage.
WARNING!
Check the chain locking pin and replace it, if it is damaged.
5.5 Not allowed uses
Do not use the chainsaw when being in unstable balance.
Do not cut materials which are different from wood.
Do not use the chainsaw as a lever or to lift, move or break any objects.
Do not use the chainsaw if the atmosphere is explosive or inflammable.
5.6 Working and sectioning rules
Before sectioning a trunk, check its position on the holding frame. This will allow to cut it in the right way, avoiding that the bar
locks in the middle of it.
1. Start cutting more or less ¼ of the diameter of the upper part, then carry out the cut of the lower part. This way the cutting
performance will be perfect, and the bar will not remain locked in the trunk (picture S).
2. Start cutting more or less ¼ of the diameter from the lower part, then carry out the cut of the upper part (picture T)
WARNING!
If the wood locks the chain while cutting, stop the tool, lift the trunk and change its position. Do not try to free the chain
by pulling the tool from the handle.
5.7 Tool transport
When carrying the tool, keep its bar backwards and inside its holster (picture M).
For long transports from one place to another keep the tool in its packaging with activated chain brake.
