2 - SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
2.2 Lifting procedures
•
Make sure the lifting equipment has an adequate capacity and is in good working order (for the machine weight, refer to
“Specifications”).
•
Never stand or pass under the machine while it is being lifted or handled.
•
Use forks which are long and wide enough so as to prevent the load from overturning.
2.3 Installation
•
Unless you are well trained and authorised, do not use or make adjustments to the instruments and control devices the
machine is provided with.
•
Make sure the compressor is securely attached to the tractor before starting work (see the paragraph on “installation”).
IMPORTANT!
The packing materials must be disposed of carefully in compliance with current environment protection regulations.
2.4 Use
•
When using the compressor, the slope inclination shall not be superior to 20%, as it may cause the engine and compressor
break.
•
Carefully read the safety instructions on the compressor.
•
Do not touch the head block (13) and the copper hose (21) of the compressor as these parts reach a very high temperature
during operation and keep hot for a long time after stopping the machine.
•
Do not leave flammable materials or nylon on or near the compressor.
NOTE
At the end of every working day, always empty the air tank (par. 5.1.2).
2.5 Maintenance
WARNING!
Before carrying out any maintenance work or mechanical adjustments over the compressor, wear a safety helmet, safety
shoes, gloves and glasses, then proceed opening the air tap (16) and discharge the air from the air tanks (15) and remove
the PTO shaft (30) from the tractor.
•
Routine maintenance and repairs can be carried out by an operator with the necessary physical and intellectual qualifi-
cations.
•
Special maintenance and repairs can be carried out only by a service mechanic.
•
Keep bystanders away when servicing or repairing the compressor.
•
Only service mechanics are authorized to inactivate the safety devices provided on the compressor when maintenance
is to be performed. It is their responsibility to safeguard the operators and the compressor. The safety devices should be
activated as soon as maintenance work has been completed.
•
All maintenance procedures not dealt with in this manual are to be performed at CAMPAGNOLA S.r.l. Authorised Service
Points.
•
When maintenance or repairs have been completed, the machine can be started again only if duly authorized by the service
mechanic. The service mechanic must make sure:
-
work has been completed;
-
the compressor runs in a trouble-free manner;
-
the safety devices are activated;
-
no one is working on the compressor.
