Data Retrieval and Comms

— Data are copied (not moved) from
the CR6, usually to a PC, by one or more methods using datalogger
support software. Most of these comms options are bi-directional, which
allows programs and settings to be sent to the CR6.

— Software retrieves data and sends
programs and settings. The software manages the comms link and has
options for data display.

Programmable Logic Control
(p. 97)
— Some data acquisition systems
require the control of external devices to facilitate a measurement or to
control a device based on measurements. The CR6 is adept at
programmable logic control.

Measurement and Control Peripherals
(p. 92)
— Sometimes, system
requirements exceed the capacity of the CR6. The excess can usually be
handled by addition of input and output expansion modules.
