7.2.1 No response using the CR1000KD keypad
Check keypad response after each of the following steps.
1. Make sure the battery has been installed and the PS150 power switch is set to ON (
(p. 55)).
2. Use a voltmeter to measure the voltage on the 12V and G terminals (
(p. 56));
the voltage must be from 9.6 to 16 VDC.
3. Use a voltmeter to measure the voltage on the 5V and G terminals (
(p. 56));
the voltage must be from 4.9 to 5.1 VDC.
4. Disconnect the Temp/RH sensor from the back of the enclosure.
5. Disconnect the 9-pin ribbon cable from any communication option used with the station
so that only the keypad is attached to the 9-pin plug in the lower right corner of the
enclosure.
6. Cycle the power to the data logger by switching the PS150 power supply to OFF then to
ON, or by disconnecting and reconnecting the battery plug. The keypad should power up
and the Campbell Scientific logo and text should appear on the display.
7. Contact your local Toro distributor for service if still no response.
