2) a - Lighting up
- Start by lighting the burner, as follows:
- Present a flame close to the burner and turn the bur-
ner control knob anti-clockwise to position (
).
- If you are using the entire cooking area, repeat the
above operation to light up the other burner.
Secure the grill in place by fitting it in the notches on
the water tray's wire supports, with the solid parts
above the burners. (see fig.9)
We recommend that this operation be carried out using
protective gloves.
Note:
Never place receptacles on the Grill
2) b - Preheating
Allow the Grill to heat up for around 3 minutes (control
knobs in position (
)) to reach optimum grilling
temperature.
2) c - Cooking on the Grill
- The Grill has a special, high quality, non-stick coating,
that allows excellent and healthy cooking, with no
need to add fat.
- The Grill has two zones:
1. A solid zone for contact cooking, perfect for thin
slices of meat or fish, small vegetables, toast, etc.
2. Vented zone, ideal for grilling.
- Dripping fat is recovered in the water tank, resulting in
perfect, healthy cooking (no residual or burnt fat) and
the food retains all its savour and tenderness.
- The Grill reaches maximum temperature (ideal for
surface grilling) after around 3 minutes of preheating,
with the valve control knobs in position (
).
- Cooking intensity can be modulated by appropriately
positioning the food on the Grill: max. power in the
centre of each burner, and more moderate power
towards the outside.
- When cooking only a little food, only use one burner
(preferably the left-hand one) and place the food over
the burner already lit up.
- When cooking is finished, turn the corresponding bur-
ner control knob clockwise, to position (
●
).
3) SHUTTING DOWN
- Close the valve on the regulator or gas cylinder.
- When the flames have gone out, close the stove val-
ves by turning the control knobs to position (
●
).
E - REMOVING OR CHANGING THE GAS
CYLINDER
- Check that the gas cylinder valve or regulator lever is
in the closed position.
- Disconnect the regulator from the gas cylinder.
- Install the new gas cylinder.
- Connect the regulator to the new gas cylinder (check
the condition of the regulator seal, before connecting
it to the gas cylinder).
F - STORAGE - SERVICING
1) Stove
Ensure that your stove is regularly maintained, and it
will give you many years of excellent service.
- Do not clean the stove while it is in operation. Wait for
it to cool down, to avoid burning yourself on the hot
parts (Grill, saucepan supports, burners).
- Remove the Grill and water tank, and pour out the
water.
- The burner cap is accessed by removing the sauce-
pan support.
While cleaning, take care not to obstruct the burner
holes. If the holes should be blocked, for example by
food overflow, leave the burner cap in warm water and
unclog the holes using a non-metallic brush.
- Clean the greasy parts with soapy water or a non-
abrasive detergent (never use scouring pads or other
abrasive products on the Grill or water tank, as they
have a special non-stick coating.
- To facilitate cleaning, the Grill, the water tank and
saucepan supports can be washed in a dish-washer.
- Remove and clean all the various parts of the stove.
Dry them and store them in their specific covers (on
the "Extra" model only). Remember to protect the
equipment cover by inserting protective material
(paper, cardboard, etc.) between the cover and the
grill (fig. 25)
Store the packed stove in a dry, well-ventilated place.
2) Flexible hose or hose between the regulator and
the stove
- Regularly check the condition of the hose/hose and
change it if it shows signs of ageing or cracking.
- France, if the expiry date printed on the hose or hose
has been reached, the flexible hose and collars must
be replaced by components meeting the require-
ments of standard XP D 36-110, and the hose and
end nuts must be replaced by components meeting
the requirements of standard XP D 36-112.
- Follow the assembly instructions supplied with these
new models, the length of which must not exceed
1.50 m, and proceed as described in Section B - 2).
- If your stove is likely to be left unused for a long per-
iod, disconnect the gas cylinder.
3) "Extra" model - Operation and servicing
- For your own safety, do not place the gas cylinder
on the accessory basket or on the bottom of the
stand skirt, which is reserved for storing food.
- The skirt and the various metal parts of the stand can
be washed in soapy water. Do not use scouring pads
or abrasive cleaning products.
