Appendix A ‒ TDR Cable Preparation

MLTDR-W-50S User's Guide
With the utility knife, trim and push the inner foam to leave a gap of exposed outer conductor. The foam cannot
interfere with the electrical contact of the flared copper area. The Upper body of the conductor must contact
this surface. Clean out loose particles of foam. Adhesive tape may be used to capture loose particles.
Install the upper body of the connector. Rotate the lower body and screw into the upper body until fully hand
tight. Do not rotate the upper body while screwing in the lower body.
Use open end wrenches to tighten the connector parts until there is no visible gap between the lower body and
upper body. Never turn the upper body on the cable. Only tighten the lower body to the upper body.
This is the completed TDR cable termination.
