High altitude
Switch the fan mode to suit installation at low or high altitudes (above 2,300 m [7,545.8 ft.]).

Setting for altitudes of 2,300 m (7,545.8 ft.) or higher.
Vertical projection
You can ensure adequate cooling by switching the fan mode to suit upward- or downward-
facing installations.

Setting for use when the projector faces upward.
Downward
Setting for downward projection.
Fan speed setting
To ensure that optical parts last as long as possible, you can increase the fan speed.

Normal
Sets the fan to a slower speed. Use when quiet operation is required.
High speed
Increases the fan speed, for a relatively longer useful life of optical parts.
Although the fan will be louder, use this setting if the useful life of optical
parts is most important.
Marginal focus
In dome projection, image focus can be adjusted on the edges of the screen, and the remote
control can be used to activate and deactivate this focus adjustment. For detailed instructions,
refer to “Adjusting Peripheral Focus” (

On
Enable remote focusing of image edges. To access the adjustment
window, press the
LENS
button on the projector repeatedly or press the
FOCUS
button on the remote control.
Reset
Restore edge focusing to the standard position.
Incorrect settings may shorten the useful life of the lamp or other parts.
• Be sure to perform this setting to use vertical projection.
• Projecting vertically without using this setting will shorten the useful life of the lamp
and other parts.
• Even if you complete this setting, vertical projection will result in a shorter useful life
of the lamp and other parts than horizontal projection.
Setting this function to [Off] only prevents display of the adjustment window.
Adjustment values are still retained. Use this setting to prevent remote focusing of
image edges.
