Using the Macintosh
Platform
To use the scanner with a Macintosh, follow the instructions in this chapter to first install
the software and then connect the scanner to the computer.
If you are using the scanner with an unaltered first-generation iMac (Bondi blue
iMac), you will need to update the firmware and system and possibly upgrade the
Mac OS. For more information, please read the Troubleshooting topics on the
CanoScan Setup Utility CD-ROM.
