Power on the ColorPASS. When the following screen displays, the ColorPASS is in
Service Mode.

Connect the ColorPASS to the copier and print the Test Page (see page 3-4).

Connect the ColorPASS to the network. Have the network administrator and download a
print job over the network (see the Configuration Guide).
If the problem you are troubleshooting persists, or if you are unable to perform steps 3
and 4 (above) while in Service Mode, you may conclude that the old motherboard was
not the source of the problem, and therefore does not need to be replaced. If so, reinstall
the old motherboard and return the new motherboard and dongle to inventory. For more
details on solving system problems, see Chapter 5, “Troubleshooting.”
If installing a new motherboard solved the problem you are troubleshooting and you are
able to print a Test Page and send a print job over the network, you are ready to update
the system. Service Mode ends automatically when you update the system (see
page 4-32).
