Troubleshooting
This chapter describes what to do in response to a paper jam in the main unit.
For the other problems not described here such as an error code and error message display, refer
also to the Troubleshooting section in the other manuals.
To prevent frequent paper jams during document scanning, always check the pages before you
feed them into the machine. (See “Preparing the Document”, on p. 2-1.)
If a document is curled or wrinkled, make a copy of the original and scan the copy.
If a paper jam occurs during scanning, the Error lamp blinks red, and the message <CHECK
DOCUMENT> appears on the LCD display.
Follow the procedure described below to clear the document feed jam.
