Speed Dialing

Using Coded Speed Dialing
To use this feature, you must first register a number for coded speed dialing. (

Follow this procedure to send documents using coded speed dialing:

Adjust the document feed lever for the
document you are loading. (

Prepare the document and load it, face
Ex:
down, in the ADF (Automatic Document
Feeder). (

• For color sending, press Color/B&W to
turn on its light. (

Use the numeric buttons to enter the two-digit
Ex:
code assigned to the number you wish to fax.
• The number registered under that coded speed
Ex:
dialing code is displayed.
• If you enter the wrong code, press Stop. Then
press Coded Dial and enter the correct code.
• If no fax number is assigned to the coded
speed dialing code you enter, the LCD
displays
NO TEL #
. If this happens, make
sure you entered the correct code and that
the number you want to dial is registered
under that code.

to begin scanning for sending,
or wait a few seconds for the copier/fax to
begin scanning automatically.
• If you prefer the copier/fax never to scan a
document automatically after a few seconds,
disable the
TIME OUT
setting. (

You can also use coded speed dialing to send a document to more than one destination at
