1) Remove the ETB unit.

1) Open the front cover [1].

2) Open the ADF unit + reader unit [1].

3) Remove the 3 screws [1].

4) Remove the 2 hooks [2] of the left cover [1] in the direction of the arrow
[A].
5) Remove the 6 claws [3] and the 2 hooks [4] and move the left cover [1] in
the direction of the arrow [B].

6) Move the left cover [1] in the direction of the arrow, and release the pro-
jection [2], the projection [3] and the claw [4] to remove.

Points to note at work
Be sure not to close the ADF unit + reader unit hastily. If closing the ADF
unit + reader unit hastily, the impact can cause damage.
Also be careful not to get your hands caught between the ADF unit + reader
unit and the host machine.
