B. Adjustment
1. Registration (Auto)
This mode performs adjustments on a
reading-start position and reading-end posi-
tion for feed direction automatically.
If the leading- and trailing-edge posi-
tions of a scanned image are improper,
perform this adjustment.
Also perform this adjustment after re-
placing or reassembling a registra-
tion-related part such as the reading unit or
the control PCB on which a registration
sensor is installed.
This mode can be used together with
other adjustment items. For details, refer to
“All”.
Adjustment sheet
The dedicated sheet is required to
execute this mode. However, you can
create the sheet by drawing a black line
on available paper, so it is not specified
as a service tool. Prepare it for yourself.
The sheet is required:
1) The material may be normal white copy
paper, recycled paper or shading sheet
(TKM-0326/0332) that is used in the next
section.
Note:
If the shading sheet is used, it can be
shared with “Light”.
Note:
Do not use adjustment sheets with
black edges, which are used for other
DR scanners. Otherwise, adjustment
cannot be performed correctly.
2) For four corners of the leading and trailing
edges, the black part must be 5 mm long
and 20 mm wide.
