6) Remove the reuse band [1] on the backside of deck front cover to free the cable from the
location [a] circled in red. Then, place about 500 sheets of paper on the deck [2] and return
the deck to the main body.
CAUTION :
• Be careful not to make the cable come in contact with the edge of the plate, etc. and
broken.
• When closing the paper stock assembly, Be careful not to drag the cover of the
paper stock assembly ON the floor and damage the external surface.
7) Select the deck of the main body to make 1-sided copy of 100 sheets of paper.
At this point, observe the behavior of the paper being picked up from the location indicated
in the red box on the photo below.

Optimum airflow level
• All spaces between two adjacent floated sheets are almost the same, and the number of
floated sheets is stable: approx. 10 to 20 sheets.
• The ceiling of the paper stock assembly is away about 10mm [b] from the uppermost paper.
• the leading edge of paper is not lowered by air and does not vibrate minutely.
Too strong airflow level
• A stack [b] of several sheets is floated at the area near around the ceiling [a] of the paper
stock assembly.
