Universal Login Manager
The Universal Login Manager (ULM) is a MEAP application developed by
NT-ware for imageRUNNER ADVANCE devices to provide a server-less
solution for simple user authentication with image login and proximity card
login support. The ULM application helps to utilize the native capabilities
of the imageRUNNER ADVANCE for personalization, and delivers basic
usage and cost reporting functionality. The ULM also utilizes the Access
Management System for additional control of access per end-user.
Additionally, the ULM is used as login application for AA-Print.
Key Features, Functionality, & Benefits of ULM
Login – Provides login manager functionality to lock devices before
use. ULM offers users the ability to login by image login, PIN code,
Active Directory, or Proximity Card.
Personalization – Provides customization capabilities for the device to
enable end-users to automate commonly performed tasks for
enhanced productivity.
Security – ULM integrates with Canon’s Access Management System
functionality for advanced security, where it can control physical
access to the device, per user and function.
Usability – Provides pass-through login for other device functions.
Accountability – ULM provides simple tracking capabilities for cost
visibility through usage reporting on up to 10 devices.
Upgradable – ULM can be upgraded to the uniFLOW server. ULM can
be installed without a uniFLOW server. When a uniFLOW server is
available, the ULM acts as an original login manager. Larger
organizations and environments that are more demanding can access
enterprise-level control, management, and Data Loss Prevention
services through Canon’s uniFLOW platform solution
