- When mounting the fixing roller, be sure to take care not to hit the
thermal switch with the roller.
- After mounting the fixing roller, check to be sure that the main
thermistor [1], shutter thermistor [2], and sub thermistor [3] are
parallel and in contact with the fixing roller.

- If you need to fix the positioning plate [1] (both front and rear) in place
with a screw [2] after mounting the fixing roller, be sure to do so
while pushing down on the bearing [3] of the fixing roller. Such will
eliminate the gap [A] in the joint between the bearing and the fixing
frame. The presence of a gap at the joint is likely to cause fixing
faults or paper to wrinkle. Be sure to perform the work.

- After mounting the fixing roller to the fixing unit, be sure to remove
the paper you have wrapped around the roller.
- Be sure to put the 2 pins [1] back to their initial positions. If you turn
on the main power switch without putting them back, 'E840' will
occur. If you turn on the main power switch after putting back only
one of them, such will not only cause an error associated with 'E840'
but also deform the shutter.
