A. Service and Maintenance Strategy
The service and maintenance strategy for the Océ VarioPrint 135/120/110
devices is different from the strategies for most Canon imageRUNNER or
imagePRESS products. The service and maintenance strategy concept is
designed to reduce or eliminate service calls by the service technician to
provide the customer with maximum uptime and productivity while reducing
labor for the servicing dealer.
The service and maintenance strategy reduces and eliminates service calls
by having fewer service parts to replace for the VarioPrint 135/120/110 main
engine. Additionally the service and maintenance strategy is based on
replacing parts, as the service is required (via service alerts on the Operator
Panel) rather than a preventative maintenance strategy. Service alerts on the
Operator Panel identify the problem or part replacement requirement. The
corrective action for most problems is a part replacement. Further, by
incorporating the POC program, the operator partially maintains the
VarioPrint. This reduces service calls by the service technician.
On-board self-diagnostics supports the operator and/or service technician in
troubleshooting the machine to provide a corrective action. This reduces the
diagnostic time considerably enabling the operator and/or service technician
to service the machine quickly and efficiently.
B. Connectivity Checklist
The Connectivity checklist is used to determine the connectivity options at the
customer site and to define if a systems Engineer is required during the
installation process or if the Service Technician can manage the installation.
The Connectivity Checklist is available on the Canon USA
e-Support Center
website
.
C. Implementation Checklist
The implementation checklist is used to collect information about the
customer’s environment where the VarioPrint will be installed to determine if
additional
preparations
are
required
to
install
the
VarioPrint.

Implementation Checklist is available on the Canon USA
