4.5.7 Common Faults

No communication occurs.

Cause

The modular cable is not connected to the modular jack used for line con-
nection.

Remedy

Connect the modular cable to the modular jack used for line connection.

A call cannot be made.

Cause

The selected type of line (tone or dial) is different from the type of the con-
nected line.

Remedy

Select the type of line identical to the type of the connected line.
