4 Causes of and Remedies for Newly Added Error
Codes
The following is a table of causes of and remedies against error codes that have been
added newly with the Board:
##670 (transmission)
At time of V.8 late start, the receiving party detects the DIS
V.8 ability before transmitting the CI signal; however, this
procedure fails, causing a T1 time-out and releasing the line.
Cause:
When the CI signal is transmitted, the line on the receiving party is cut or
the ANSam/DIS of the receiving party cannot be detected.
Remedy:
Use service data #1 SSSW SW28 bit 0 to prohibit the V.8/V.34 procedure of
the caller.
Use service data #2 MENU No. 07 to increase the transmission level within
the range between -8 and -15 dBm.
#671 (reception)
When V.8 arrives, the procedure fails to move to phase 2 after
detecting the CM signal, causing a T1 time-out and releasing
the line.
Cause:
In phase 1, the line of the caller is cut or the signal of the caller cannot be
detected.
Remedy:
Use service data 31 SSSW SW28 bit 1 to prohibit the V.8/V.34 procedure of
the caller.
Use service data #2 MENU No. 07 to increase the transmission level within
the range between -8 and -15 dBm.
##672 (transmission)
At time of V.34 transmission, the procedure fails to move from
phase to phase 3, causing a T1 time-out and releasing the line.
Cause:
In phase 2, the line of the receiving party is cut or the signal of the receiv-
ing party cannot be detected.
Remedy:
Use service data #1 SSSW SW28 bit 0 to prohibit the V.8/V.34 procedure of
the caller.
Use service data #2 MENU No. 07 to increase the transmission level within
the range between -8 and -15 dBm.
#673 (reception)
At time of V.34 reception, the procedure fails to move from
phase 2 to phase 3, causing a T1 time-out and releasing the
line.
Cause:
In phase 2, the line of the transmitting party is cut or the signal of the trans-
mitting side cannot be detected.
Remedy:
Use service data #1 SSSW SW28 bit 1 to prohibit the V.8/V34 procedure.
Use service data #2 MENU No. 07 to increase the transmission level in the
range between -8 and -15 dBm.
