Designed for “run and gun” ENG-style shoots and other professional uses,  
the Canon XA25 and XA20 HD are ultra-compact, lightweight camcorders 
that feature built-in Wi-Fi

®

 technology and a Genuine Canon wide-angle 

20x HD zoom lens with built-in real-time optical image stabilization. Both 
camcorders also include a high-sensitivity Canon 2.91 megapixel HD CMOS 
image sensor and Canon DIGIC DV 4 image processor for vibration control 
and simultaneous MP4 and AVCHD recording to two separate SD 
cards. The Canon XA25 and XA20 can also record at a lower 
bit rate to transmit MP4 (3Mbps) format video of breaking 
news via wireless FTP file transfer to social media sites. 
Wireless connectivity also includes camera control via tablet or 
smartphone. Both camcorders feature an OLED electrostatic 
touch panel for vivid, clear video display and responsive control 
of camera settings. A 1.56 million-dot resolution adjustable-
angle compact viewfinder enables users to check critical focus. 
An attachable handle includes XLR terminals, a microphone 
holder, independent audio level controls, multipurpose accessory 
shoe, and an infrared emitter for nighttime HD shoots.
