TV remote control
IR learning function
The loudspeaker system can learn the infrared code of your TV remote control, making it possible to control the functions of the loudspeaker
system and the TV with a single remote control� Any button on the TV remote control can be learned by the loudspeaker system�
When allocating buttons, make sure that the commands for the system and the TV are not in conflict� It is recommended that the internal
loudspeaker of the TV system is deactivated following connection to the loudspeaker system�

Hold the TV remote control in position�

Switch the loudspeaker system on�
3
Press and hold the “ON/Standby” button of the
Canton remote control for approx� 5 seconds�

The display shows a flashing
IRL

Press the wanted function on the Canton
remote control e�g� “”�

Now the display shows the chosen function, e�g�
�

Within 20 seconds press the key you wish to allocate
to this function on the TV remote control�

Once this has been successfully allocated the display
will show
OK
and you can continue with the
programming of the next key function, e�g� “Volume –“�

If the display shows
FAI
this means the allocation
has failed and you need to repeat steps 5 to 8�
MUTE
Exit menu
Press and hold the “ON/Standby” key again for
longer than 5 seconds to exit the “IR learning
function” menu�
If the Speaker system does not receive any input
instructions from the remote control within a period
of 60 seconds the menu navigation returns to normal
mode automatically�
