Shore Power
The shore power connection is through the shore power cord, stored in the rear large compartment drawer in the washroom/shower area. (Picture
52.1)
The shore power cord connect port is located in the driver’s side running board next to the running boards that house the dump hose and black/grey
gate valve. Notice that the bottom prong on the receptacle has a slight bend to it. (Picture 52.2)
Match up slightly bent opening on shore power cord to bent prong in 30AMP connect port. (Picture 52.3) After lining up the receptacle prongs to the
shore power cord, gently push the cord until the prongs are fully inserted. Then proceed to take the plastic black piece and attach it to the threads
on the connect port. Turn clockwise to tighten and secure the power cord to the connect port. When connected and plugged into a power source,
the red light on the power cord will illuminate.
(Note – Use caution not to cross thread when tightening the power cord ring to the power
port.)
The switchover from shore power to inverter is automatic. Before plugging in, turn on the inverter switch on the monitor panel.
To connect to external (shore) power, plug your power cord into a 30-amp power source. At this point your inverter will recognize the power source.
If a true 30-AMP power source is not available, adapters are available that allow for plugging into 110-outlets.
See HOWTO’s: Shore Power for a concise guide on how to connect and disconnect to shore power.
