SAFETY
An incorrect completion during the installation or initial operation can
lead to damages and as a result of this can endanger persons. For your
own safety and for the protection of the solar module please consider the
following tips:
- The valid regulations and safety instructions for the installation and main-
tenance of electrical systems and equipment have to be kept in mind.
- Due to the series connection of the modules, voltage levels may exceed
the protective extra-low voltage.
- Event at lower lightning almost the full open-circuit voltage can be
expected in the modules.
- While working at the modules, they must be covered or disconnected
from the consumer load.
INSTALLATION
To achieve the highest possible energy output we recommend the following
for all PV constructions:
- Alignment of the front module should face due south.
- Tilt angle between 30° and 60°
- For a good self-cleaning effect due to precipitation the tilt angle should
have at least 20°.
- Avoid – even partly – shadowing effects. These can lead to significant
losses in yield.
- The bundling or concentration of the solar radiation, for example by
using lenses or mirrors is not permitted.
- Avoid folding of the module while unpacking and doing further mounting.
- Do not raise the modules at the cable.
- Mount the modules only at appropriated substructures. These must ensure
that no mechanical voltages of the substructure will be transferred.
- Choose the right mounting position so that rain/water can drain wit-
hout hindrance and no puddles can form on and around the solar panel.
- Apply the adhesive to the back of the module over the entire surface
and glue the module on the roof.
Important:
Please avoid all kind
of air bubbles between the roof and the solar panel. (Manufacturer‘s
recommendation: Dekasyl MS-5 or Sikaflex 554 with Primer).
Then seal up all sides up to the top edge of the panel.
- Hold a minimum distance of 2 mm between the module and the subs-
tructure, to balance the material expansions. Use only suitable adhesive
or corrosion free screws.
- Make sure the polarity is correct when connecting the modules.
Reverse polarity can lead to destruction of the protective diodes.
- Thereby please note the appropriate valid regulations.
- The modules have to be installed such – particularly along the cable
that water flow towards the cable gland is prevented.
- For any maintenance and repair work produce a plan documenting the
module installation layout, including serial number allocation and
cable layout.
Congratulations to the purchase of a CARBEST solar module.
When treated properly, you will have several decades of enjoyment with
your CARBEST solar modules.
Please note the following instructions for the installation and operation
of the solar modules. A non-compliance results to the cancellation of the
guarantee and warranty.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
As time goes by the light transmission of the module front side and the power of
the solar cells will be reduced by dirt. At strong dirt a cleaning of the front-mounted
foil surface is recommended. To avoid the damage of the top, use plenty of water
and a soft brush. Do not use strong cleaning agents and metallic objects! Occasi-
onally inspect the cables for damage, corrosion and make sure they are securely
tight.
WARRANTY
The warranty period is 36 months. Reimo reserves the right to rectify eventual de-
faults. The guarantee is excluded for all damages caused by faulty use or improper
handling.
Liability limitations :
In no case Reimo will be reliable for collateral-, secondary- or indirect damages,
costs, expenditure, missed benefits or missed earnings. The indicated sales price of
