Siting and Setting Up
The product should be sited in a well ventilated area, away from other
sources of heat.
Note:
If required, it is the customer's responsibility to provide an
adequate extraction system. Under no circumstances should such an
extraction system be connected directly to the product as this will affect
product performance and may damage equipment.
Use the manual handling method recommended by your health and
safety officer to place the product on a level, stable surface that is not
prone to vibration or movement. The surface upon which the product is
placed must be of a height suitable to allow the operator to easily and
safely use the equipment.
The product should be placed on a non-flammable surface, resistant to
the accidental spillage of hot materials. All adjacent surfaces should also
be non-flammable.
Ensure that the power supply or isolating switch is easily accessible to
the operator.
The surface on which the equipment is mounted should be stable and not subject to
movement or vibrations.
The height of the mounting surface is important to avoid operator strain when loading
and unloading samples. An optional custom loading trolley is available. Please contact
Carbolite Gero for details.
Unless otherwise stated elsewhere in this manual, ensure that there is
at least 1000
mm
of free space around the back and
at least 500mm
of free space at the sides of
the product. Clear space is required above the product to dissipate heat.
