Testing the Installation
All the connections should be made into the carbonTRACK unit that are suited for the
control and monitoring requirements; it’s time to test the monitoring and control function
of the device.
1.
Locate the Device Identification Number (DIN) on the carbonTRACK unit. DIN is found
under the barcode on the front label.
2.
Open a web browser and launch http://my.carbontrack.co.za/
3.
Register the unit with the unique DIN.
4.
Create a unique password and note this password as this will be the password used by
the customer to login to the carbonTRACK site.
5.
After powering the carbonTRACK unit by connecting the power connector (1), wait 5 to
10 minutes to see the first data point on the monitoring graph. If no data points have
shown up, refer to Troubleshooting question
“
No Data Points Displayed
”. Ensure all
data has been uploaded from all monitored devices.
6.
Test the control options for the attached devices (Geyser, Pool Pump, etc.) by switching
the control option to manual and turning on and off the device. Note that, there could
be some delay in switching.
7.
Once all above tests have been completed, congratulations, you’ve just installed another
carbonTRACK unit and ensured a lighter carbon foot print.
NOTE:
There could be some delay in switching.
8.
Congratulations if all the above tests have been completed!
Enjoy greater control, visibility and management of your energy usage patterns
through your carbonTRACK device!
