RILEVA APP
1.
Fit the plastic cap supplied in the calibration kit to the device and
connect the plastic tube to the calibration gas cylinder (or ambient
air, as described in the warning above).
2.
Enter the Calibration section by selecting the corresponding button
in the Home tab. Then scan the barcode on the calibration gas
cylinder or manually enter the required information.
3.
Open the supply of calibration gas (or ambient air, as described
above).
4.
Select the “Start Zero” button to confirm the start of calibration.
5.
A countdown then begins until calibration is complete. If calibration
was successful, go to step 6. If calibration failed, return to the Home
tab and press the Acknowledge button to clear the zero calibration
error.
6.
Stop the gas flow.
7.
Replace the gas for the zero calibration procedure with the gas for
full-scale calibration and continue the procedure.
4.2.3 Full-scale calibration
MANUAL
1.
Activate TACT#2 or MAG#2 for > 5 seconds. The LED will flash green-
green-orange when the device is ready.
2.
Open the calibration gas supply (check that the concentration
indicated on the cylinder corresponds to the concentration declared
on the device label).
3.
Activate TACT#2 or MAG#2 within 30 seconds of step 1 to confirm
the start of calibration. If not activated, the device will abort the
calibration procedure and return to normal operation.
4.
The LED will start flashing in a green-orange, green-orange-
orange, green-orange-orange-orange sequence, until calibration
is complete. To abort calibration, activate TACT#2 or MAG#2 for >
5 seconds, shut off the gas flow and remove the calibration kit. If
calibration was successful (the LED will flash orange-green-red), go
to step 5. If calibration failed (the LED flashes orange at a frequency
of 2 Hz), activate TACT#2 or MAG#2 once to cancel the calibration
procedure.
5.
Shut off the gas flow and remove the plastic cap from the calibration
kit.
6.
Wait for the device to stabilise completely, as indicated by the LED
on green steady.
RILEVA APP
1.
Enter Calibration section by pressing the corresponding button in
the Home tab. Then scan the barcode on the calibration gas cylinder
or manually enter the required information.
2.
Open the calibration gas supply (check that the concentration
indicated on the cylinder corresponds to the concentration declared
on the device label).
3.
Press the “Start offset” button to confirm the start of calibration.
4.
A countdown then begins until calibration is complete. If calibration
was successful, go to step 5. If calibration failed, return to the Home
tab and press the Acknowledge button to clear the full-scale
calibration error.
5.
Shut off the gas flow and remove the plastic cap from the calibration
kit.
6.
Wait for the device to stabilise completely, as indicated by the LED
on green steady.
4.2.4 Bump test
The bump test checks the effective
response of the sensor to a real high
gas concentration.
In the bump test procedure on
the RILEVA app, all of the outputs
to external devices (RS485 serial,
analogue output and relays) can be
disabled, so as to not accidentally
activate other devices connected to
the gas detector.
If, on the other hand, the bump test
is carried out in MANUAL mode,
first disable and/or mute all of
the devices connected to the gas
detector, to avoid the false alarms.
When performing the bump test:
The device goes OFFLINE.

CAUTION:
do not use pure refrigerant or hydrocarbons (cigarette
lighter), so as to not excessively damage the semiconductor element,
which is sensitive to very high gas concentrations.
MANUAL
1.
Fit the plastic cap supplied in the calibration kit to the device and
connect the plastic tube to the calibration gas cylinder.
2.
Open the gas flow sufficiently to trigger the alarms.
3.
Make sure that the LED signal corresponds to the low and/or high
alarm events (flashing red).
4.
Shut off the gas flow and remove the plastic cap from the calibration
kit.
5.
Wait for the device to stabilise completely, as indicated by the LED
on green steady.
RILEVA APP
1.
Fit the plastic cap supplied in the calibration kit to the device and
connect the plastic tube to the calibration gas cylinder.
2.
Enter Calibration section by pressing the corresponding button in
the Home tab. Press the “Activate” button to access the bump test
screen.
3.
Move the slider under the “Status ring” to start the bump test and
disable the outputs.
4.
Open the gas flow sufficiently to trigger the alarms.
5.
Check the low and/or high alarm status, the colour of the “Status ring”
and the measured concentration.
6.
Shut off the gas flow and remove the plastic cap from the calibration
kit.
7.
Move the slider again to end the bump test and re-enable the
outputs.
8.
Wait for the device to stabilise completely, as indicated by the LED
on green steady.
