Safety Notice
WARNING:
Great care should be taken to install the tran-
sponder and its components so that no driver controls are
affected by loose wires or other interference. If installed im-
properly, the transponder could interfere with the operation
of the vehicle foot pedals or steering wheel causing a driver
to be unable to properly brake or steer the vehicle. THIS
COULD RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH.
CAUTION:
If you believe that the transponder is adversely
affecting your vehicle’s operation you should immediately
bring your vehicle to a safe stop and remove the transpon-
der and its cable from the J1939 port. Prior to further
operation of your vehicle, you should consult with a com-
petent mechanic who is familiar with your type of vehicle to
determine whether any difficulties you are experiencing are
in fact attributable to the transponder.
NOTICE:
The transponder has been tested and shown to
be safe and reliable, however some vehicle models are not
in full compliance with J1939 protocols. In addition, the
computer control systems on any given vehicle may be
malfunctioning or out of spec as may the sensors used by
these systems.
Incompatible Vehicles
The transponder has been designed for heavy duty vehicles
with a Type-1 or Type-2 J1939 diagnostic port produced
