4.3 LP Cylinder Requirements
This appliance is specifically designed to be used with a
LP cylinder with a Type 1 cylinder valve and an overfilling
protection device (OPD).
1. A Type 1 valve can be identified by its large
external threads. Do not connect to a cylinder that
uses any other type of valve connection device.
Note:
Do Not use any other type of LP cylinder or
valve with this appliance.
4.4 Assembly Instructions
1. No assembly is required.
a. Check and tighten, if necessary, the four screws
holding the burners to the base. These screws
may have loosened during shipping.
b. Check and tighten, if necessary, the four screws
holding the gas shutoff valve assembly to the
burner. These screws may have loosened during
shipping.
2. A customer-supplied 91051 Low Pressure Regulator
and Hose Assembly is suggested.
5. Operation
5.1 General Safety
Failure to follow these safety instructions and warnings
could result in a fire or an explosion, which could cause
property damage, personal injury, or death.
Read and follow all instructions and warnings in
this Owner’s Guide, on the cylinder, and on the
supply hose safety tags before connecting the cylinder to
the appliance.
Do not allow anyone to conduct activities
around this appliance during or following its
use until the appliance and the cooking liquid has cooled.
The appliance is hot during operation and remains hot for
a long period of time following its use.

5.1.1 Prior to Cooking
Do NOT leave the appliance unattended while the
burner is lit or while heating oil, grease, water, or
when cooking food.
Carefully monitor the appliance, especially when the
cooking oil, grease, or water is above 100° F (38° C).
This appliance gets dangerously hot while in
use. Use well-insulated pot holders or oven mitts
for protection from hot surfaces or splatter from cooking
liquids. Safety glasses or goggles are also recommended
to protect from oil splatter.
