Tools and Materials
Obtain the following tools and materials:
•
Pliers, needle nose
•
Cutters, diagonal
•
Wire ties (3 ea.), part of Accessory Kit, PN 003-0247
Dress Cables and Wires
Dress cables and wires as follows.
•
Follow standard practice.
•
If desired, use wire tie anchors on rear panel (see Figure 6-25) to secure wires.
•
Ferrite bead RF suppressors may be moved slightly to allow for securing wire ties.
•
When mounted horizontally, the ground wire and DSX-1 cables are normally dressed toward
left side of rack and all other cables and wires are dressed toward right side, as viewed from
connector panel (Figure 6-25).
•
Ensure that no bare wires are exposed after dressing.
