CLI Language Reference
CLI Command List
Show ID
Purpose:
Displays the System Identifier assigned to the Access Navigator. This is a name,
location, or Telcordia (Bellcore) CLLI code. It is a text string, such as “Acme Corp.
AN#2” or “DNVRCO1A201”. The System Identifier also appears in the command line
prompt. The default System Identifier is “Access Navigator” so the command prompt
will be “Access Navigator>”. When you change the identifier, the prompt will also
change.
Security:
Level 3 (monitor)
Syntax:
show id
Message:
ID: Access Navigator
Show Interface
Purpose:
Displays the settings for one interface name, or for all interfaces defined for DS1s in
the Access Navigator. Use the
set
interface
command to change settings.
NOTE:
CLI provides three commands for displaying DS1 interface
information:
show interface
,
status
interface
, and
read
remote
connect
. The first displays provisioning information stored in the Access
Navigator data base, while the second displays the current service status. The
last command reads and displays current interface settings from the remote
Access Bank II data base (see “Read Remote Connections” on page 18-48).
Interface connections must be provisioned in the Access Navigator before the
configuration settings can be downloaded to the remote Access Bank II.
Security:
Level 3 (monitor)
Mask
The Access Navigator uses a subnet mask to identify the
permissible range of addresses for each IP address. Large
networks are usually divided into smaller subnetworks, each with
an assigned range of IP addresses. Subnet masks have the format
xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
, where each xxx is a decimal number
between 0 and 255. Subnet masks usually start with one or more
groups of 255. Typical examples include
255.255.0.0
and
255.255.255.0
.
If a subnet mask is not used, type
none
or
leave blank.
MAC Address
The Ethernet media access control (MAC) address is a
hexadecimal number such as
00-E0-97-00-08-37
.
