Never touch uninsulated telephone wires and terminals unless the
telephone line has been disconnected at the Network Interface (NI) as
voltage potentials as high as 300 VAC may be present across the transmit
and receive pairs.
l
Only use No. 26 AWG or larger telecommunication line cord, to reduce
the risk of fire.
l
Never install telephone wiring during a lightning storm.
l
Never install telephone jacks in wet locations unless the jack is
specifically designed for wet locations.
l
Refer to the installation section of this manual for a safe and proper
installation procedure. All wiring external to this equipment should follow
the current provision of the National Electrical Code.
