Assigning a transmitter identifier to the
receiver (binding)
When a remote control signal is sent, in addition to control infor-
mation, an electronic identifier is sent with each transmitter burst.
This is how the receiver recognizes that the signal has come from
its own transmitter. Since many millions of transmitter identifiers
are available, it is extremely unlikely that a different transmitter
could influence your receiver.
In case the (radio) connection between the transmitter and the
model is lost, the assignment must be renewed. For this purpose,
the following procedure is required. So far as possible, it should be
undertaken at a place where no other electrical signal – especially
from another 2.4-GHz transmitter – can interfere with this trans-
mission.
1. With transmitter and model ready to operate but switched off,
position them a short distance apart.
2. Switch on the model. Press the “Setup/Binding” button; the LED
should begin to flash.
3. Now switch on the transmitter.
4. When the receiver LED is lit continuously, the binding process is
complete and the RC system is ready for use.
