BARBECUE

The BARBECUE and MOUNTING BRACKET are stored in the cockpit starboard locker.Place the
BBQ by clamping on the aft rail. Reverse the procedure to dismount barbecue. Attach a

PROPANE

BOTTLE to the REGULATOR found in the lower cabinet at the salon entrance.

Carefully light the unit, preferably with a long-stem butane lighter. The barbecue generates a lot of heat
and cooks hot and fast. Store the barbecue unit back in the locker. Please wipe with a paper towel
before storing to prevent grease and dirt soiling the boat.

Caution -- For safety reasons, do not store an opened propane bottle within the salon or engine
compartment. Chances are these will leak slightly once opened and propane gas into low spaces. Store
these bottles in the storage container provided. Ensure gasoline and flammables materials are not near
the barbecue.

DINGHY & OUTBOARD MOTOR

Dingy Launch

The dingy is launched and retrieved using a Weaver foot pedal operated system.  To launch, confirm
that the valve on the swim-step pedestal is closed.   Remove the line from the bow of the dingy or the
stand-off that holds the bow of the dingy to the stern of Elegant Rendezvous.   Unpin the 2 retaining
pins on the davit arm.    Be certain not to unpin the retaining pin that holds the dingy to the arm.   Open
the valve on the davit top slightly and gently let the dingy begin to go down into the water.   You may
need to give it a nudge to get is started down.  The engine and engine mount will hinge down as the
boat descends.   When the dingy is fully in the water, unpin the lift arm from the stern of the dingy.
Open retaining snaps on the swim step to free the dingy from Elegant Rendezvous.     The lift arms
may be hinged into the dingy or removed (very carefully as they don’t float) and stowed aboard
Elegant Rendezvous in a secure location.   Raise the lifting arm by closing the valve on the pedestal
and using the hydraulic foot pedal pump to get the lift arm out of the way.

Retrieval

Put lift arms back on the fixtures in the dingy.   Attach the side of the dingy to the fittings on the
swimstep of

Elegant Rendezvous

.    Open the hydraulic valve and lower the lifting arm to the down

position.   Connect the lifting arm hardware to the lifting bracket on the transom of the dingy.   Close
the valve on the top of the davit.    Begin pumping the foot pedal and raise the dingy to original
position.    Repin the dingy to davit and tie off bow on stern of Elegant Rendezvous.    Connect bow of
dingy to transom using the stand-off.
