2.5 Setting a 2” x 4“ straight plank on the ground, check
your ground level by placing a linear level on the plank
and make sure the ground forming the rim of the basin is
perfectly level. Check every 3 to 5” (using an imaginary
grid), the bigger your pool, the more measurements you
will have to take. Make sure there are no debris, pebbles,
branches, roots on your foundation. You can use a laser
level in order to be certain that your ground is flat.
2.4 Level the inside of your circle using the gardening rake
and then flattened the surface with the 2” x 4” plank until
it is smooth. Do not add soil, use the rake to flatten and
even the surface. Compact the area 2 times with a
mechanical compactor. Start from center toward the
outsides in a circular way.
2.6 Drop piles of rock dust on the perimeter (every 4’) that
you will then spread out. Also add a few piles in the center
of the pool and spread out to cover entirely.
