Auxiliary Operation
- Operate the appliance only with the auxiliary handle.
- Turn the auxiliary handle in counter clockwise direction for
adjustment (E)
- Set the auxiliary handle on the appliance into the required
position.
- Tighten the auxiliary handle (E) by turning it in clockwise
direction.
- The depth can be set with the depth stop (F). Thereby
press the button (M) and set de required drilling depth.
- Release pressure on the button (M).
Instructions for use
Before use:
- Make sure that all the product’s packaging has been
removed.
- Prepare the appliance according to the function you
wish to use:
Fitting the working tools: (Fig. 2)
- Unplug the appliance from the mains.
- Only use tools with SDS-plus shaft.
- Clean and grease the shaft of the tool.
- Install the drill bit or accessory in the drill chuck. Turn the
drill bit slightly until it can be pushed in all the way and you
can feel it engages into place.
- Ensure that the drill bit is locked.
SDS-plus adapter for drilling in wood or metal (Fig. 3)
- Unplug the appliance from the mains.
- Fit the SDS-plus adapter (K) into the SDS-plus chuck as
described above “fitting the working tools”
- If any of the appliance casings breaks, immediately
disconnect the appliance from the mains to prevent the
possibility of an electric shock.
- Do not use the appliance if it has fallen on the floor, if
there are visible signs of damage or if it has a leak.
- CAUTION: Maintain the appliance dry.
- CAUTION: Do not use the appliance near water.
- Do not use the appliance with damp hands or feet, or
when barefooted.
- Do not wrap the power cord around the appliance.
- Do not clip or crease the power cord.
- Check the state of the power cord. Damaged or tangled
cables increase the risk of electric shock.
- Do not touch the plug with wet hands.
- Fully unroll the appliance’s power cable before each use.
- Do not use the appliance if its accessories are not
properly fitted.
- Do not use the appliance if the accessories or
consumables attached to it are defective. Replace them
immediately.
- Use the appliance handle/s, to catch it or move it.
- Keep the appliance in a dry, dust-free place, out of direct
sunlight.
- Do not use the appliance on any part of the body of a
person or animal.
- If the application tool should become blocked, switch the
machine off. Loosen the application tool.
- Before switching on the power tool, make sure that the
application tool moves freely. When switching on with a
blocked drilling tool, high torque reaction can occur.
- Use clamps or a vise to secure the object to be worked
in place. The work will be safer if both hands are free to
control the tool.
- Let the appliance running with no load for 30 seconds
in a safe position. If you notice serious vibration or other
defects stop the appliance immediately. Then check the
problem and /or proceed as we describe on Anomalies and
Repair clause.
- Use personal protective equipment. Always wear dust
mask
- When working in amianthus/asbestos and/or silica
stone, the dust produced is extremely harmful to your
health. Wear protection against inhalation of this dust,
in compliance with current regulations on accident
prevention.
- This appliance is for professional use.
- This appliance is not a toy. Children should be supervised
to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- Do not expose the appliance to extreme temperatures.
- Check the position of power cables before commencing
work ensuring they are well away from the work area.
- Keep hands and other body parts well away from the
work area whist the tool is in use.
- Screw the Drill Chuck (J) on the mounting shaft and
Screw the mounting Screw (L).
- To open the drill’s chuck, whilst completely switched off,
take firm hold of the back part of the chuck and turn the
front part of the chuck counter clockwise.
- Insert the drill bit, screwdriver bit, or other tool/accessory
required for the task, into the chuck. In order to obtain a
secure fastening of the bit, insert the bit as far as you can
into the chuck. Take firm hold of the back part of the chuck
and turn the front part of the chuck clockwise until it is
firmly closed.
- In order to remove accessories from the chuck, follow the
same steps as indicated previously but in reverse order.
- Don’t use rotation with hammering when the SDS-plus
a drill chuck is installed on the device.
How to select the direction of the rotation (Fig 1)
- Do not change the direction of the rotation whilst the tool
motor is in operation.
- The appliance has a selector (D), which allows the
direction of rotation to be changed.
Use:
- Connect the appliance to the mains.
- Place the appliance against the surface you want to work.
- Press the appliance until the lengthways play is taken up.
- Turn the appliance on, by using the on/off button (H).
Note: Exerting high pressure does not increase machine
effectiveness!
WARNING:
When the bit begins to penetrate concrete or
comes up against the reinforcement rods in the concrete,
the tool may react dangerously. Make sure you keep your
balance by distributing your weight evenly and keeping
your feet in a safe position whilst holding the tool firmly in
both hands to avoid dangerous reactions.
- Select the appliance function desired.
Drilling and driving (wood, steel, …) (Fig 1)
- Turn the selector (C) until points to ( ).
- To drill or screw, ALWAYS have the direction set to
clockwise (CW).
- To unscrew, set the direction to counter clockwise
(CCW).
- The appliance should not be in use when changing the
screwing direction.
