2.1 Set functions
ADD function
Press “ADD” button to activate the addition mode. The ADD display turns on. If more than 9,999
banknotes are to be counted, then with 10,000 banknotes the displayed number is reset to 0 and
counting is resumed. Also when the counting exceeds € 999,999 the display resets to zero.
Batch count
You can also use one of the programmed batch stops. Press the BAT button once to display the batch
value 100 bottom right on the display. Repeatedly press BAT button to access batch stops of 50, 20 and
10. Press “+1” button to adjust the pre-set values individually and set each count stop between 1 and
200.
The machine stops as soon as the set number of banknotes is reached. When the banknotes are
removed from the stacker, the counting continues. Press “C” button to reset the batch value to zero
and batch counting stops.
Counting speed
The BC 141 SD has 3 different counting speeds that can be changed by pressing the SPEED button. For
heavily used banknotes we advise you NOT to use the highest speed for counting, because those notes
are ‘hard to catch’. By pressing the SPEED button you can change between following counting speeds:
L (800 notes per minute)
M (1,200 notes per minute) and
H (1.500 notes per minute)
2.2 Set counting mode
The BC 141 SD is:
a batch counter (sorted counting)
counter for other notes and documents (Free-Count-Modus)
You can toggle between the counting modes by pressing the MODE button.
Batch count Euro Banknotes (display SORT)
In the batch counting mode all banknotes different from the first counted banknote are rejected. The
difference is detected via the magnetic code. The result only shows the number of counted banknotes:
not the (total) value.
Unit count of other banknotes and documents (display COUNT)
In this mode you can count banknotes or other documents in units. In this mode counterfeit detection
is disabled.
Counting small banknotes
The banknote guide rails allows counting of small banknotes as well. Place the
banknotes in the centre of the feeder and move the two guides against the
stack.
Feeder adjustment
When banknotes are not pulled in correctly by the machine, the pressure on the
banknotes needs to be adjusted. This can be done easily by turning the wheel
at the backside (top) of the machine. Turn the wheel clockwise to increase the
pressure (and the other way around to decrease).
