2.4 Battery
When the CT 332 SD is charging the optional rechargeable battery, the display will show "–Ch" at an
interval to indicate the charging status. We advise to charge the battery for at least 15 hours before
initial use. If the voltage of the rechargeable battery is low and the CT 332 SD is not connected with the
power adapter, the display shows "-Lo" at an interval to remind the user that the battery needs to be
charged.
2.5 Update function
The CT 332 SD can easily be updated with new software via the SD card reader. Insert the optional
micro SD card and set the CT 332 SD in the download modus: the CT 332 SD will automatically update
itself (~ 2 seconds) and you will hear an audio signal (beep beep) when finished. The CT 332 SD will turn
itself off afterwards. Please contact your supplier for further instructions/purchase micro SD card.
Attention:
you must connect the power supply before updating and we recommend removing the
(optional) battery temporarily during this process.
You can also update the CT 332 SD via a computer. Follow strictly the instructions below to update your
machine in the correct way:
1.
First turn off the CT 332 SD and disconnect the power adapter;
2.
Connect the detector to your computer with the optional update cable;
3.
Connect the power adapter again;
4.
Press and hold the REP-DEN/ADD button and the DIR - CLEAR button and turn on the CT 332 SD;
5.
Now both displays should show ‘-‘ (7 in total). Please repeat the previous steps if they don’t show up,
otherwise continue to step 6;
6.
Run the (optional) update software (contact your supplier for more information);
7.
Click the ‘Load File’ button and select the provided xxxx.UPL file;
8.
Click the ‘Update Soft’ button to upload the new software to the CT 332 SD;
9.
When the programming is done the CT 332 SD automatically turns off.
Maintenance and troubleshooting
3.1 Maintenance instructions
This unit is a precise currency detector that needs periodic maintenance.
1.
Operate this unit in the designated ambient environment only;
2.
Store this unit in a ventilated place and keep away from any strong magnetic field or light;
3.
Use a special cleaning kit to regularly (at least once a month) clean sensors and rubber belts;
4.
Protect the sensor surface from damage, do not touch the surface with sharp or hard objects;
5.
Do not attempt to disassemble the detector.
3.2 Service
If you are experiencing problems with your CT 332 SD that cannot be solved with this instruction manual,
please contact your supplier. Please retain your purchase documents for warranty claims. Do not
remove, cover, damage or modify in any way the rating plate with serial number on the rear of the unit,
otherwise you forfeit your warranty.
